En-Ming Chang | RA, LEED AP BD+C

Associate Principal

En-Ming (Jimmy) Chang joined Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects in 2005. He has been Design Team Leader or Design Project Manager for a variety of project types and competitions. He is currently working on the design of the Miramar in Santa Monica, a mixed-use, five-star resort, and an 800-foot-tall high-rise residential tower currently under construction on 50th Street in Manhattan.

He served as Project Architect for the 1214 Fifth Avenue residential and medical office tower within a block of New York City’s Central Park Conservancy Garden and Museum of the City of New York. More than 500 feet in height, the 50-story building is the tallest on the Upper East Side and marks the northern end of Museum Mile and the Mount Sinai Medical Center campus. The project received a LEED Silver rating and earned award of merit in the 2014 AIA NYS Design Award. Mr. Chang was responsibility for all phases of the design, from concept design throughout construction administrations, as well as full FF+E services of the entire residential amenity interiors.

Mr. Chang’s additional work includes CARDA (Center for High Attitude Training) in the Tafi del Valle region of northwestern Argentina, Back Bay/South End Gateway, a 1.3 million-square-foot mixed-use redevelopment air rights masterplan in Boston, Massachusetts, the recladding of 475 Park Avenue South, 15 Penn Plaza, a proposed 2 million-square-foot office tower in midtown, the New Entry Pavilion and reconfiguration of Brookfield Place in Battery Park City in Manhattan, and Metropolitan Park, a 826-unit residential development in Arlington, VA.

Prior to joining Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, Mr. Chang worked as an architectural designer in Minnesota and Taipei, Taiwan for a diverse array of projects. His experience includes interior architecture, mixed-use buildings, large public buildings, and urban master plans.

Mr. Chang received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and Master of Architecture degree with honors from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Chang is a LEED Accredited Professional BD+C, and a registered architect in New York.
