One of her most notable projects is the award-winning The Avenue, a mixed-use development in Washington D.C., which includes a 12-story, 330,000-square-foot residential building, two 440,000-square-foot class office buildings, 450,000 square feet of parking, and 80,000 square feet of retail.

Ms. Kowalska has led the team on a residential project for a client in Upstate New York and assisted with managing an educational project for the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton NJ, as well as Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects’ NY office renovation. In all of these efforts, the design incorporated many sustainable features and strategies to reduce the overall environmental impact.

In her projects, Ms. Kowalska, as a LEED Accredited Professional, strives to maintain the firm’s involvement in a sustainable design practice. Early in her career, prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kowalska gained experience working in NYC and Warsaw, Poland as an architectural designer on a variety of project types, including residential developments, interior architecture, and urban master plans.

Ms. Kowalska received her Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University and her Master of Architecture from Warsaw University of Technology in Poland.
